lettuce.flights Booking Terms

Last updated: July 23, 2026 · Applies to all bookings made on or after this date.

1. Who you are buying from

lettuce.flights is operated by Lettuce, Inc. (“Lettuce”, “we”, “us”). Lettuce acts as a travel agent and booking interface. Your card payment is processed by our travel supplier, Duffel Ltd. (a UK company) acting as merchant of record; ticket issuance and customer-of-the-carrier obligations are fulfilled by Duffel, and your flight is operated by the airline shown on your itinerary. Your ticket is a contract between you and that operating airline, and their fare rules, conditions of carriage, baggage policies, and tariff filings govern your travel.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract. Passenger names you enter at checkout must exactly match each traveler's government-issued ID. You are solely responsible for any airline charges, change fees, or denied boarding caused by mismatched, misspelled, or incomplete names or documents.

3. Prices, currency, and our service fee

Displayed fares include the carrier-imposed base fare, government taxes, and mandatory carrier fees as of the time of search. The total shown at checkout is the total you pay, in the currency shown, and includes a lettuce.flights service fee that compensates us for operating the booking platform, support, and payment handling. This service fee is included in the total before you pay. Optional services (seat selection, baggage, etc.) are priced separately and never pre-selected.

The lettuce.flights service fee is earned when your booking is confirmed and is non-refundable, except where a full refund is required by the US DOT 24-hour rule (Section 6) or by other applicable law. Airline refunds, when due, are returned to you separately per the airline's fare rules; our service fee is not part of the airline fare and is retained.

Fares are not guaranteed until ticketed. Airlines may revalidate pricing at the moment of purchase; if the fare changes before we confirm your ticket, we will present the new price for your approval or release the booking without charging you.

4. Payment authorization

By submitting payment you authorize the charge of the displayed total to your card and confirm you are the cardholder or an authorized user. Card capture is handled by PCI-DSS certified processors; we never see or store your full card number. You agree the descriptor on your statement may reference lettuce.flights, Lettuce, or our travel supplier.

5. Chargebacks and disputes

If you believe there is a problem with a charge, you agree to contact support@lettuce.flights first and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve it before initiating a card chargeback. Initiating a chargeback for a validly issued, non-refundable ticket or for our earned service fee is a breach of these terms; we reserve the right to contest such chargebacks, recover the disputed amount plus reasonable processing costs, and suspend your account.

6. Cancellation and refunds

Cancellation rights are governed by the airline's fare rules and applicable consumer-protection law. See the Cancellation Policy for the US DOT 24-hour rule and the cancellation procedure. Refundable amounts returned by the airline are refunded to your original card; our service fee is retained except where a full refund is legally required.

7. Schedule changes and irregular operations (IRROPS)

If the operating airline changes your schedule, cancels a flight, or rebooks you, we will email the contact address on file. You may also be re-accommodated directly by the airline at the airport, and that re-accommodation is binding on us. We are not liable for consequential costs (lodging, missed connections on other carriers, lost wages) arising from airline-controlled schedule changes.

8. Travel documents

You are responsible for ensuring you hold valid passports, visas, transit permits, and any health requirements imposed by your origin, destination, transit countries, or the operating airline. We are not liable for denied boarding, deportation, or costs due to missing or invalid documents.

9. Baggage and accessibility

Baggage allowances and fees, and accommodations for disability and assistive devices, are governed by the operating airline. We display the airline's baggage policy link on every itinerary. The Air Carrier Access Act and equivalent international rules apply directly to the operating airline.

10. Sanctions screening

Bookings are subject to OFAC and equivalent sanctions screening conducted by our supplier and the operating airline. Bookings for sanctioned persons or destinations may be refused without liability to us, and any service fee for a lawfully refused booking will be refunded.

11. Prohibited use and abuse

You agree not to scrape, resell, or make speculative or fraudulent bookings; not to use the service to circumvent airline fare rules; and not to submit false traveler information. We may cancel bookings and suspend accounts engaged in abuse, fraud, or repeated chargebacks, and recover costs incurred.

12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Lettuce provides the booking interface and facilitates payment. We are not the operating air carrier and do not assume the carrier's liability under the Montreal Convention, Warsaw Convention, or the airline's tariff. The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from a booking is limited to the lettuce.flights service fee actually retained by us for that booking. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Lettuce, its officers, and its suppliers harmless from claims, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the service, or inaccurate information you provide.

14. Disputes and governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Disputes will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules, on an individual basis only — you and Lettuce waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action. Either party may still seek relief in small-claims court. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of your first booking by writing to legal@lettuce.flights.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; material changes apply to bookings made after the “last updated” date above. Your continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
